Overcomers Ministry has been changing lives since 1988 when Gordon and Sheila Thayer felt the calling to reach Indigenous people. The ministry still shines bright today in a dark and broken world by bringing hope through the Gospel message to those who are hurting and may have lost hope
Ministry Mission:
The mission of Overcomers Ministry is to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to the Native people of the United States and Canada while building trust with the communities they serve.
Ministry Objective:
The objectives of Overcomers ministry are evangelism, discipleship, Bible training, reconciliation, restoration of individuals and families, children and youth ministry, Christian-based addiction recovery, and training and equipping Christian Indigenous leaders to promote healthy communities.
Ministry Verse:
Psalm 107:20-
“He sent his word, and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.”
Ordination:
Rev. Sheila and Rev. Gordon have been ordained through the International Ministerial Fellowship since 1993.
